25-10-2014........REPRODUCTION CLINIC A BLOCK PATTOKI

Specie:     buff (heifer)
Age:           about 3.5 year
History:    heifer was bought from market for 60,000 Rs. Few days ago. According to seller animal was mated once before about a month ago.
Now heat was detected by the owner 36 hours ago and was naturally mated tomorrow but early in the morning he observed the mucous discharge again from vulva. Its 9:30 right now.
Clinical examination:      
a bit discharge came out from vulva when rectally palpated.
Ultrasound performed. Result is as follows:
Left ovary: follicle size 12mm
Right ovary:  follicle size 11mm
Treatment:      
- Inj.   Conceptual (GnRH)          2.5 ml
- AI
Discussion:
follicles are near to ovulation.
GnRH >>>> LH surge from surge center  >>>> ovulation

    i think,
    As both ovaries have follicle so more production of estradiol and animal exhibiting heat signs now.

    i think that was delayed ovulation
